“This isn’t supposed to happen”

I was in the line to get checked in for Demi’s VIP. Instead of being excited like most of the people there, I was overwhelmed with anxiety. This wasn’t what I wanted. I wanted it to be an anxiety free day. It wasn’t until I saw Demi and her gorgeousness when I calmed down. Her voice and her touch is one of the most settling feelings. She knows what it’s like so I instantly felt relieved.

I was extremely frustrated about my anxiety beforehand though. I remember thinking
“this isn’t supposed to happen” and wondering why I couldn’t get a break. This made me realize that when it comes to mental health issues, there’s no such thing as a day off, or at least one you can plan accordingly. It’s not something you can turn off. Anxiety can hit you at any day, anytime, for a reason or for no reason at all.

Listening to Demi and being close to my friends helps me to calm down. I constantly have Demi’s music playing during my downtime, which kind of, sometimes helps me to not have the anxiety attack at all. I really like being close to my friends when I’m feeling anxious. Some people like to be left alone/not touched, but the comfort of my friends really helps me.

If you struggle with anxiety, figure out what works best for you. Let the people around you know what you need. Figure out what you need to do to calm down, do it, and take a few deep breaths. It’s all going to be okay.
