Jessica Victoria - Founder/Executive Director

Jessica Victoria graduated from Niagara College’s Journalism program in 2016 and has also taken multiple psychology/mental health courses and trainings, including Mental Health First Aid and ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training. 

Jessica has personal experience with anxiety and mild depression, as well as a physical disability. She is also a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. She loves helping people through her knowledge and experiences.

 

Cassandra Muileboom - Marketing Committee Chair

Cassandra Muileboom is a passionate advocate for creating Safe Spaces and fostering inclusivity in the digital realm. As a spoken word poet, writer, and social media guru, Cassandra brings a unique blend of creativity and empathy to their role. She’s also a future therapist, driven by a humanistic approach and a desire to help individuals on their personal journeys. Her commitment to fostering Safe Spaces extends beyond the digital realm, as she strives to create a world where kindness, compassion, and understanding thrive.

 

Crystal Luscombe - Board Member

Crystal, a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, has been passionate about advocating for mental health and equality since a young age. She obtained her Social Service Worker Diploma from Sheridan College, and her goal is to pursue a career path in the mental health sector. In her spare time, she runs an outdoors social group called Happy Hikers Hamilton. She frequently organizes group outings throughout Hamilton and the surrounding area. In just a few short years, she has grown the group to over 2K members, and counting! She has combined her passion for nature and mental health by both co-ordinating and co-hosting mindful and trauma-informed hikes. Over the past few years, Crystal has found immense joy from creating connections with members of her community.

 

Blake Smith - Board Member

Blake Smith (He/They) is a proud Trans-masculine, gender queer individual, whom was raised in Port Colborne, and resides in the Niagara Region. Blake is a strong advocate for the gender diverse community, as well advocates for positive mental health services and experiences in Niagara. In 2016, for TDOR, Blake delegated to Port Colborne City Council to raise the transgender pride flag in honour of TDOR. Blake also delegated to the township of Wainfleet, where a proclamation was created to recognize TDOR, struggles and hardships the gender diverse community face. In 2019, Blake was a co-ogranizer of a TDOR event that was held at Third Space Café in Niagara Falls.
